The activities of the Division was set up, has developed and is currently concentrated in Algeria.

Exploiting the Bentini S.p.a’s 20 years previous experience of construction works abroad,  the Division has considerably developed in Algeria from the end of the 80s onward, in the field of turnkey projects for camps and industrial settlements complementary to gas and oil activities in order to face the increasing and pressing needs of the Algerian national oil company Sonatrach and, in recent years and up to nowadays, of international partners.

Since 1991 until today, 450.000 m² of various covered infrastructural buildings with turnkey formula contracts have been carried out for the realization of concrete permanent camps (staff villages) for over 12.000 users, equipped with main utilities and infrastructural works, safety and telecommunication installations, administrative buildings and facilities, and international oil companies’ head offices, control rooms, substations, workshops and different types of industrial buildings, including anti-explosion ones, subsidiary to oil and gas production units. All the above works have been carried out according to a system specially designed by Bentini S.p.A. adapted to Southern Algeria and to specific purposes, a construction method integrating industrialised building technologies with an extensive use of pre-engineered components locally precast in factories and imported industrial components.

Such experience was incorporated into the controlled Gepco S.p.A. One of the accomplished mission of this new company was the training of the local executives and workers and to convey the company’s expertise and achievement capability.

The works are totally executed by the companies of the group, from the concept and basic design to the building construction details and shopdrawings, and the same for the overall procurement activities: the materials purchased abroad and imported directly from the company, the ones produced on the spot, the construction of pre-engineered elements and the installation of complete works. In so doing, all interaction processes between client and final user are united in one entity and responsibility, abbreviating and facilitating the whole realisation process until turnkey handing over the project.

Thanks to these achievements, which have been confirmed by fifteen years of utilisation of the infrastructures, that have constantly been improved and up-dated to suit new increasing needs, the Group is facing, for the coming years, a series of projects commissioned by usual customers, or new clients, who are aware of Bentini’s product quality and reliability in terms of delivery time, opting for the company’s specific construction techniques.

For these clients, Bentini Group has pre-arranged technical and economic ………. with the utmost care, double checking every detail, always keeping up with the new growing needs in terms of comfort, safety and quality of life, to be guaranteed in turnkey formula.

Because of the cyclic character of the above base market, the Group has evaluated, as strategic, to exploit its long lasting experience to face the promising Algerian real estate market.

It was the lack of buildings in the country, in particular houses, but also commercial complexes and office buildings, including innovative installation technics along with integrated appliance and furniture at a European quality level and with European delivery timing, that drove Bentini S.p.A. to look for opportunities in this sector, which is at present giving body to two real estate companies in Oran and Algiers committed in the construction of over 70,000 m² of clean marketable surface.
